As the son of Hades, Nico di Angelo has been through so much, from the premature deaths of his mother and sister, to being outed against his will, to losing his friend Jason during the trials of Apollo. But there is a ray of sunshine in his life-literally: his boyfriend, Will Solace, the son of Apollo. Together the two demigods can overcome any obstacle or foe. At least, that's been the case so far ... Now Nico is being plagued by a voice calling out to him from Tartarus, the lowest part of the Underworld. He thinks he knows who it is: a reformed Titan named Bob whom Percy and Annabeth had to leave behind when they escaped Hades's realm. Nico's dreams and Rachel Dare's latest prophecy leave little doubt in Nico's mind that Bob is in some kind of trouble. Nico has to go on this quest, whether Mr. D and Chiron like it or not. And of course Will insists on coming with. But can a being made of light survive in the darkest part of the world? and what does the prophecy mean that Nico will have to "leave something of equal value behind?"

Best book I've ever read!!! submitted by MarinaKaori2904. on June 10, 2023, 3:21am This book is so good, the quotes are hilarious, the characters are wonderful and unique, and this book is my #1 favorite Rick Riordan book (even though the other series' were also incredible). The way the book starts is super unique, and the adventures are wild (in a good way). This books gives us a little tour of what's under us *child of Hades reference* and from reading Rick Riordan books, I figured out what I wanna do in the future, what my interests are, and so many interesting facts about all different types of mythology. I 100% recommend this book. this book should be seen in every shelf, in every store.

Very Nice Spin-Off Series submitted by ewraback on August 13, 2023, 10:35pm I really love how Uncle Rick is continuing to spin this world and continue building on some of the (originally) side characters. The storyline was pretty unique. Overall, it had a really nice message to the story. I do think that Nico is starting to sound a bit like Percy, which I wish Nico wasn't *as* sarcastic.
