Slow burn submitted by pamhockey25 on July 3, 2023, 10:13pm Shy librarian, Alexis Stone, tries to put her ex behind her with a one-night stand, and after spending the evening wooing a man, mother nature interferes, and the couple is photographed. The man she was caught with is a politician, Logan Arthur, and he's running for governor. Before she knows it, Alexis is fake-dating Logan. I really enjoyed this book, there were some twists I didn't see coming. A fast, fun read.

Enjoyable Romance, BUT... submitted by sdunav on August 16, 2023, 1:54pm One part had me shaking my head in disbelief when the main character made a really stupid decision. It knocked me right out of my previously happy suspension of disbelief. I could see the rest of the plot unfolding predictably, and was super annoyed. Also, I think the story made Texas seem less politically abysmal than it is.
