She does it again submitted by beckleystover on June 9, 2023, 11:29am Emily Henry writes the best quick yet genuinely heartfelt characters of any author i've read recently. Wyn and Harriet fall right into this category. 100% recommend for anyone who loves a fun romantic summer read!

a delight submitted by laurenalysse on June 19, 2023, 9:11pm While not my favorite Emily Henry book (that's still Beach Read), I really enjoyed Happy Place. The dialogue was engaging and the characters were realistic and interesting. I enjoyed the framing of the main character's various "happy places," and was satisfied at the end of the book, though the miscommunication along the way was a bit frustrating as a reader.

Second-chance romance submitted by pamhockey25 on June 29, 2023, 1:13pm This was not my favorite Emily Henry book, I didn't particularly like Harriet or Wyn as much as some of her other characters. As a second-chance romance I (spoiler) knew that they were being set up to get back together by their friends. The book is a fast read and the lobster fest and friend group were fun. The book definitely has some great moments. I wasn't sure that there was going to be a HEA and I'm not entirely sure I buy the solution, but I will always read Emily Henry. She is a fantastic author.

Not my fav submitted by Emily LB on July 7, 2023, 12:08pm I love Emily Henry books, but this one is my least favorite so far. It leaned way too heavily on the “miscommunication/ misunderstanding” trope, and I just never fell in love with their love like I have in other books. 2/5

I also really enjoyed the way the characters were developed individually beyond just their role in the relationship. It was super cute!!

I was excited that the book was set in Maine because I loved other books set in Maine and being transported there (i.e. Evvie Drake Starts Over) but the setting fell kind of flat as did the characters unfortunately. Definitely still a nice enjoyable read

Great Vaca Read submitted by abster667 on August 15, 2023, 3:57pm I just read this while I was away for a long weekend and it did the job. Easy to jump in and out of while talking/traveling. While not always a page-turner, I found the relationships between the friends pretty interesting and the location (Maine) was relaxing. This is my first Emily Henry book but I own People We Meet on Vacation and am also excited to read Beach Read & Book Lovers next!
