American Gigolo, a present-day reimagining of the iconic film, follows Julian Kaye after his release from prison as he navigates relationships with his former lover, his troubled mother, and the people who betrayed him. While Julian struggles to reconcile his past with the man he is today, Detective Sunday seeks the truth about the murder that sent Julian to prison all those years ago, unearthing a much larger conspiracy along the way.

The cast were spot on, and while not every moment hits, there are enough that land. This is the kind of redemption story that we don't tend to see in Noir which doesn't hand wave away the past or give easy answers.
