Third in the series (warning: some spoilers ahead) submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 13, 2023, 1:10pm "Season of Skulls" is the third in a new series of Charles Stross novels. Part of The Laundry Files universe this "Tales of the New Management" series focuses on a new set of characters, many of whom are LGBTQ. While not as enjoyable as his earlier Laundry series that focused on Moe and Bob, our new heroes are nonetheless compelling and the plot moves quickly. This book focuses on Eve who thought her husband was dead, or at least missing forever, but now finds herself not only still caught under his terrible magic spell but also required by the new dictator, an evil spirit possessing the British Prime Minister, to bring the husband's head as an offering.
