Worth the time submitted by smgop on July 21, 2023, 9:29am I have long been a fan of Kate Morton's... and eagerly awaited this new book. I have to admit, at first I had a hard time getting into the story - seemed to move very slowly. However, by about halfway through the book I was invested in the story, the characters and the outcome. It is worth the perseverance!
Enjoyable submitted by purchasingqueen on August 25, 2023, 9:34am Settle in, as this is a 600+ page book. I found it a bit slow at the start (1st 150 pgs). But, if you stick with it, it's worthwhile. A journalist, living in London and at loose ends in her career, goes home to Australia to care for her injured grandmother who raised her when her mother abandoned her as a child. While looking through her grandmother's things, she finds a book that describes the police investigation of an old, unsolved crime (a murder) that has ties to her own family.
