Pádraic struggles to find normality and peace in his daily existence after his lifetime best friend, Colm, abruptly no longer wants to speak to him ever again. It's hard to avoid the consequences of that decision in a tiny Irish village, but as he searches for a reason he can accept and understand, the rest of his life seems to change around him as well, in some rather extreme and dire ways.

well done but don't want to watch it again submitted by gw on July 31, 2023, 1:36pm The story is unique, the acting is superb all around, and the dialogue is natural and works so well. The beautiful setting is a character in itself. That said, the actual plot and climax were hard to watch at times (gruesome and/or tragic and mostly depressing). Definitely not a trite, neatly tied up story, but seeing it once was enough.

Brilliant. On so many levels submitted by hoppingfun on October 14, 2023, 11:12pm Going to rewatch, savor the acting but especially the screenplay and the larger allegory about the Civil War/Troubles, mirrored on a personal scale. A small island named Earth.
