No surprises submitted by kkjammers on June 24, 2023, 12:40pm This romance’s storyline was standard. Halfway through, I realized that I needed to bail on devoting more of my precious time on earth to finishing this book, so I skipped to the last chapter and was not surprised at the ending. Descriptions of Georgie and her friend lover Levi’s lovemaking are detailed and made me uncomfortable. Clayborn’s book might be a welcome endeavour for anyone who wants a happily ever after and an easy read.

Her best friend is pregnant and just moved back to their hometown. She wants Georgie's help, so she moves back home while she tries to figure out her future. Levi Fanning was a high school troublemaker who turned his life around, but he's still working through issues. Georgie finds a journal she wrote in high school and uses it to reconnect to herself and figure out what she wants for her future. It's a fast read with cute characters and a great dog.
