Better Call Saul's final season concludes the complicated journey and transformation of its compromised hero, Jimmy McGill, into criminal lawyer Saul Goodman. From the cartel to the courthouse, from Albuquerque to Omaha, season six tracks Jimmy, Saul, and Gene as well as Jimmy's complex relationship with Kim, who is in the midst of her existential crisis. Meanwhile, Gus, Nacho, and Lalo are locked into a game of cat and mouse with mortal stakes.

A Fitting Finale submitted by Meginator on June 14, 2023, 11:17am This finale season absolutely sticks the landing, wrapping up both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul with an emotionally satisfying conclusion that cements the companion shows as two of the most captivating ever created. The season is clearly divided into two parts, with the first half coming at a furious pace and the second more of a gradual winding down that manages to effectively juggle tension and catharsis. The highlight comes around the season’s midpoint, where the writers almost manage to make viewers forget that certain conclusions are foregone due to the events of Breaking Bad as the drug-dealing storyline reaches its endpoint; the rest of the season is primarily devoted to Jimmy/Saul and the consequences of his actions throughout both shows. Although the camera work can sometimes be a little too creative (and therefore distracting), the show’s cinematic qualities generally serve to highlight its themes, and the actors give absolutely incredible performances across the board. The interconnected worlds of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul deserved a fitting send-off, and this season provides a satisfying payoff for everyone who has stuck with the creators and characters over the years.
