Moving submitted by Princess Cimorene on July 14, 2023, 9:01am This is a well-told tale of mothers and daughters. Stretching from pre-war Vietnam to modern New Orleans, the story illustrates the timeless struggle of parental/filial love and the sacrifices a mother must make to protect her children. Maybe said mother doesn't do everything right, but neither do real people. There is a lot of heartbreaking humanity in this book.
