Dont gimme lip ‘bout horses submitted by tarascon on October 15, 2023, 1:11pm Never seen “Yellowstone” but this “prequel” is well made though the later episodes are more affective than effective. A few idiomatic anachronisms here and there (“see what I did there?” and “period”) and treating Isabel May like a dress-up doll trivializes an otherwise interesting character. The show tries hard to present the First American people as three dimensional human beings but they’re basically there to drive the plot while the landscape and some decent acting carries the burden of storytelling.
Recommend with qualifications.
