Lovely writing but needs editing submitted by chowcy on August 9, 2023, 1:03am Mukherjee's prose is gorgeous. The author is clearly passionate and intelligent, able to breathe life into teaching about cells, the history of our understanding of cells, how cells fit into the ecosystems that are our bodies. A great book to learn about the state of cell science right now. Many analogies that help make such complex subject matter make sense. My main gripe is that this book is unnecessarily long and full of footnotes, anecdotes, and details that don't really add value. I just think the author likes to write :) and that the book could've been edited better to cut to the point
