Pretty fun submitted by brooksza on August 15, 2022, 3:11pm This movie took some massive swings.

I didn't even realize until the title came up on screen that this wasn't Doctor Strange AND the Multiverse of Madness.

But yeah this was madness. Glad I watched all of the Evil Dead series this week because there's lots of Raimisms in this. Genuinely felt like a horror movie at times.

Also glad I mostly avoided the previews because there were a few surprised along the way. Excellent cameos of all kinds.

This is a good piece of the Marvel Cinematic Multi/Universe puzzle but man it's so sprawling it's even hard for me to not be confused about events and timing. And the multiverse kinda removes a ton of stakes from these.

Multiverse of Madness submitted by SBNB on June 9, 2023, 12:46pm This was a good movie. Be aware, though, that it would be beneficial to watch the Disney+ show WandaVision before seeing this movie. It’s ok without it (they mention the relevant details), but I would have enjoyed the movie more if I would have seen Wanda’s transformation, as this detail is central to the movie plot.

Horror Comes to the MCU submitted by kaymbre on July 11, 2023, 9:09am Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a wild and visually stunning ride through the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sam Raimi's direction is a perfect fit for the film's horror-tinged tone, and Elizabeth Olsen gives a standout performance as Wanda Maximoff. The film is full of surprises, and it's sure to leave fans wanting more. This movie is fairly violent and gory. Be aware of that if you are sensitive to such things. To enjoy the film more, I would recommend that you at least first see WandaVision on Disney+. It's not entirely necessary, but will give a better explanation of the backstory. Not as tightly related, but still recommended is the "What if..." series, also on Disney+.
