TD does Yanni at the Acropolis submitted by answer-beat on October 16, 2022, 11:45am Just as a warning to Tangerine Dream fans, this is not the '70s Krautrock/Berlin School TD or the '80s soundtrack TD. It's a 2000s incarnation which was clearly shooting for the new age audience that lapped up Yanni, Gregorian chants, Era, etc. The newer, post-Edgar Froese version of the band actually makes music that sounds much closer to their classic sound. As for this, it's 5 CDs and a concert DVD inspired by the Divine Comedy, performed in multiple languages by a cast of guest vocalists. The presentation is fantastic, the paintings in the book look spectacular, but I'd rather treat this as an art book instead of an album.
