When his young daughter's beloved companion, an android named Yang, malfunctions, Jake searches for a way to repair him. In the process, Jake discovers the life that has been passing in front of him, reconnecting with his wife and daughter across a distance he didn't know was there.

You know a movie is going to be good when it starts with a synchronized dance and ends with a Mitski song. submitted by margie222 on June 28, 2023, 1:40pm Visually beautiful and emotionally touching. A dreamlike movie about what it means to be human, focused around a family and their android family member, Yang. It is a slower paced film, so it might not be your cup of tea, but give it a chance. The movie is also unique in that it's set in a sci-fi future world, but a world that feels warm and naturalistic instead of a techy Blade Runner reboot. One of my all-time favorite movies, I hope you enjoy it too.
