Pounding Alt-Rock submitted by Meginator on August 22, 2022, 9:34am This is a fantastic, well-rounded rock album that sits comfortably on the edge of hard rock and heavy metal with Lizzie Hale’s vocals giving the songs that extra bit of kick they need to stand out. Every single track has something to recommend it, and the band has an excellent sense of melody that doesn’t get in the way of going hard; this is a great album to blast at loud volumes, where the music totally surrounds you. Lyrically, many of the songs draw on religious symbolism to enhance the album’s core thematic thread about the importance and power of music. However, nothing about the album is kitschy or overdone, and altogether it’s a great example of a band creating and performing the music they enjoy at the highest level.
