Overall Very Good submitted by Poppy_Magee on July 25, 2023, 3:02pm t took me a pretty long time to get into the book, but once the plot really picked up (around halfway maybe) I could not put it down. I thought the romance was really natural and cute, and all the methods they used to talk to ghosts were really interesting.
(potential spoilers)
The mystery solving around two thirds in felt really scooby doo like - not in a bad way. I thought the final plot twist sort of came out of nowhere. I also think there were a lot of really dark secrets and storylines that weren’t fully explored or dealt with.
But overall I really enjoyed the beachy ghost vibes and the central relationship between Mina and Evelyn.
