Sappy Love Songs, If That's Your Thing submitted by Meginator on August 1, 2022, 3:28pm Dan + Shay are basically a country-light boy band duo, and they do a fantastic job of it if that sounds like something that will appeal to you. This album is packed with cute, sappy love songs delivered with a heaping helping of charm and lovely two-part harmonies that add a bit of depth to the lyrical content. This is a feel-good album built on simple, catchy pop hooks with the barest hint of twang occasionally making its way into the vocals, and sometimes it’s a relief to listen to something that is simply pleasant for the sheer joy of being so.
