Satisfactorily informative, but very readable submitted by chayesq on June 10, 2023, 8:23am In a really interesting read, Steve Brusatte gives us both a broad look at the evolution of mammals as well as fascinating portraits of some of the different paleontologists working in the field. It felt satisfactorily informative but also very readable. If you have read Brusatte's "The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs", you will be happy to find this newer book better written and more coherent in comparison. It is not focused so much on the evolution of any particular animal as it is on the principles of evolution in general, and seeing how those dynamics play out. I learned a lot! Recommended!
