Portrait of a thief submitted by LatitudeB on June 12, 2022, 9:45am Literally everybody else has said amazing things about this book and they were all correct. You should read it. I actually got this eARC to write a paper about it for a class and it delivers in every way possible. I want to own ten hardcovers of this book. Also it reminds me a lot of the Raven Cycle series of books with that really intense friendship. I mean this in a very good way. I would die for Irene Chen. Five stars and also in my top 10 books of the year.

read this in one car ride (road trip). this was genuinely so good and it definitely deserves all the hype it has.
as an asian american, i don't think i've related to a book more in my life (especially to will tbh). i also loved the bit of action/heist part of it, which definitely kept the book going. still, it doesn't take away from the amount of thoughts and how much you can really get to know the characters. i also loved the chemistry between the characters (wont spoil lol)
anyways. if netflix turns this into a tv show i will definitely watch it :)))
ps. i too, would die for irene chen.
The best heist novel you will read this year! submitted by nemiller on July 11, 2023, 9:04pm What a ride! Excellent pacing, twists and turns that you don't always see coming, but always make sense. The tension and humor from the five different points of view, especially between the siblings. Both thought-provoking and genuinely enjoyable. I hope Li continues to write novels because I am looking forward to reading more!
