quick read submitted by laurenalysse on August 8, 2022, 9:02am This was a quick engaging read, but don't expect it to be a "thriller." Everything gets tied up neatly at the end of the book, and there is a "happy ending" -- a bit unexpected given the summary above. The twists are not all that surprising, and only further push the novel towards the happy ending to the point that some of them seemed contrived.
