"In the vein of the classic 84, Charing Cross Road and Meet Me at the Museum, this witty and tender novel follows two women in 1960s America as they discover that food really does connect us all, and that friendship and laughter are the best medicine"-- Provided by publisher.

Good until the end submitted by Beatlesfan04 on June 20, 2022, 1:41pm The book started off pretty interesting and I had high hopes for it. Towards the latter third of the book, the characters, plot, and tone changed suddenly. It's like the author was told to cut out 100 pages from the book, or add more drama. It just didn't make sense to me with the rest of the book. Overall, I still gave it 4/5 because it was an interesting read and made me think quite a bit about food history and availability. But I wish it had about 50-100 pages more to really wrap things up better.
