"A Jove book"--Title page verso.
"A TV meteorologist and a sports reporter scheme to reunite their divorced bosses with unforecasted results in this charming romantic comedy from the author of The Ex Talk. Ari Abrams has always been fascinated by the weather, and she loves almost everything about her job as a TV meteorologist. Her boss, legendary Seattle weatherwoman Torrance Hale, is too distracted by her tempestuous relationship with her ex-husband, the station's news director, to give Ari the mentorship she wants. Ari, who runs on sunshine and optimism, is at her wits' end. The only person who seems to understand how she feels is sweet but reserved sports reporter Russell Barringer. In the aftermath of a disastrous holiday party, Ari and Russell decide to team up to solve their bosses' relationship issues. Between secret gifts and double dates, they start nudging their bosses back together. But their well-meaning meddling backfires when the real chemistry builds between Ari and Russell. Working closely with Russell means allowing him to get to know parts of herself that Ari keeps hidden from everyone. Will he be able to embrace her dark clouds as well as her clear skies?"-- Provided by publisher.

Weather Girl submitted by russelan on June 20, 2022, 8:58pm Kind of bummed by this one. I love Rachel Lynn Solomon and was so excited about the premise of this one --Meteorology! Plus sized hero! Mental health discussion! But the romance never really popped for me.
Weather Girl submitted by hjzechar on July 16, 2022, 11:20am This was just OK. Some good concepts that didn't quite land.
Romantic but somber submitted by laursanc6 on July 16, 2022, 6:33pm This romance was heart warming most of the time. Nothing hits quite like two co-workers trying to fix their bosses marriage. I loved seeing a plus sized hero and I think there were very important mentions of mental health but it didn't turn into a book that was all about it. People with depression live their lives and it was nice to see a romance that shows that. Also, hello single dad. It definitely was more of a somber romance but I think that made it more real in a sense. I just wanted more of those little moments with them together. Show us that chemistry even more.
Heartbreakingly beautiful submitted by ewraback on July 8, 2023, 10:47am Overall, the premise of the story was very cute, the main characters were trying to make their bosses fall in love. I think some of the romance does fall flat, but it has very deep romance. It dealt with romance after failed engagement or romance whilst dealing with children or relationships with depression. So the romance had a lot of depth, but not a lot of cute-ness. The heartbreaking part is because the relationship between the daughter and the mom is difficult for me to read. Her dealing with relationship with her mom dealing with depression and working on her depression, whilst dealing with her own depression hits very hard. I do highly recommend reading this book!
just okay submitted by gw on August 17, 2023, 2:11pm The plot was even more of a stretch than the usual romance plots and the weather girl nickname makes me cringe
