Charley Harper (American, 1922–2007) Gorman Heritage Farm, 1996 Take a trip out to the country with Charley Harper’s Gorman Heritage Farm. Harper created this artwork for the working farm and outdoor education center near Cincinnati, Ohio. He distilled the essence of fruits, vegetables, farm animals, and even harvesting machinery into a colorful scene sure to please Old MacDonald himself—and you, as well, as you take on this 300-piece puzzle.

Very Abstract Plants submitted by Meginator on June 24, 2023, 9:53pm Although the pieces are very sturdy, with vibrant blocks of color that make the puzzle come together quickly, I didn’t enjoy this as much as the library’s other puzzles featuring the same artist. Even when looking at the finished picture, I had a difficult time identifying all of the plants and animals, which meant that this was nearly impossible during the time I spent solving it. Still, it went fairly quickly for me and the artwork does have a nicely whimsical quality to it, with the varying colors and patterns offering a lot of ways into the solve for inexperienced puzzlers.
