Boring submitted by Kgilroy on February 25, 2022, 4:52pm I have read the books and watched the original movie. This one has wonderful visuals but overall very slow. Doesn't make a lot of progress with the story and will need a couple of sequels.

Confusing end submitted by Jen Chapin-Smith on July 28, 2022, 3:27pm While visually stunning, the film can be hard to follow as the plot and setting shift without explanation. Warning, spoiler: the film ends like an incomplete sentence. It is clearly meant to be a cliffhanger but just feels like a sidewalk that ends abruptly and inexplicably. Presumably, more films will follow this one and continue the story. It is based on a very long novel with numerous complex plotlines and twists involving intergalactic trade and families, so trying to fit all this background into one film would be difficult, even if the previous version of "Dune" did so. The acting and special effects are superb.

Clearly set for sequels submitted by mwschoe on August 15, 2022, 9:48pm The movie, while extremely interesting, was clearly designed to allow for sequels to keep the money flowing. Visually arresting and a great soundtrack, but I can’t help but feel it could’ve been a tighter movie that covered more.
