Soft colors submitted by teri on June 23, 2023, 10:31am Doing this puzzle with young children encouraged the telling of The Princess and the Pea story.
Which is a somewhat odd tale. Even with the story, the children weren't keen on this puzzle - perhaps because of the soft colors, and a large amount of beige space. There are many, many matresses; but not a lot of other interesting items to look for.

More Difficult Than It Seems submitted by Meginator on July 7, 2023, 7:41pm This puzzle has a flair for the dramatic, and I was really surprised by the (relatively) high level of difficulty in a puzzle with so few pieces. The puzzle’s designer makes really good use of verticality, and the puzzle’s dimensions are exaggerated in a way that naturally makes sense with the story; this does, however, result in some stretched-out shapes that don’t hold up all that well to the kind of wear and tear that they get from being part of the library’s collection. The secret to solving the puzzle lies in figuring out how to align all of the mattresses, which isn’t quite as easy as it seems like it should be, but with its small size the puzzle is still quite achievable for younger solvers. Overall, this is a pleasantly tricky little beast.
