Legit submitted by eileenw on June 18, 2022, 7:42pm Does a good job presenting home-cooking style Chinese food. But doesn't really deliver on the "how to find ingredients" part of the title, except for a few nods to it early on. Mostly this is a strong, useful cookbook, not a guide to Asian food markets.
Basic Chinese Cuisine

A few brand recommendations for Asian sauces and other ingredients, but mostly 3-4 sentence descriptions of the items.
She lists herself as a "social influencer" in her LinkedIn profile, with a specialty in 'social media marketing', but nowhere in the cookbook does she mention what her ties are to the brands she mentions.
Recipes are well written, with ingredients that are easy to find in local Asian markets. Basic, but not simplified dishes. Good introductory cookbook for people expanding into Chinese cuisine.
