Essays with heart submitted by gpapp on July 26, 2022, 4:46pm The morning after I finished this book, I told a friend how the first essay starts, and she said, "Oh, so a cheerful read...." No, I can't say it's cheerful. But I've never been much for cheerful. This book is beautiful, instead. It sits right at the intersection of love and grief, which as I get older I realize are really two sides of the same coin. These are essays for grownups, and I loved them.
