Minimalism doesn't always mean a perfectly curated home that is always tidy. Messy minimalism is less about perfection and more about purpose. Rachelle Crawford lays out strategies for reducing waste, curbing consumption, decluttering, and finding lots more joy in the way that best supports your family.

Very Limited Perspective submitted by Meginator on August 1, 2022, 3:24pm It’s important to go into this book knowing that the author comes from a very narrow, very specific perspective: she’s a wealthy Christian mom who is, like, totally hashtag relatable, and that perspective comes through in every word she writes. That might make this a great book for you, but it has little appeal or utility beyond that particular demographic, and as someone who is not those things I found her writing style to be annoying at best and actively cringeworthy at worst; she tries so very hard to relate to her readers, but her attempts are transparent and distracting instead of being believably conversational, reassuring, or helpful. Crawford’s perspective on minimalism is hardly as radical as the title would make it seem, and the book recycles common advice while adding pointless anecdotes from the author’s life that occasionally actually relate to the subject at hand. This could be an approachable introduction to minimalism for wealthy Christian moms, or for people who find that type of lifestyle and outlook appealing, but everyone else should look elsewhere for more useful and less annoyingly delivered advice on decluttering and minimalism.
