"This cookie has never felt like a smart cookie no matter how hard she tries, especially in comparison to all the clever cupcakes and brilliant rolls in the bakery. Will a dash of creativity and a sprinkle of confidence be enough to help her learn that perfect scores and having all the answers aren't the only ingredients for intelligence?"-- Goodreads.com

Hilarious, and It Has a Good Message Too submitted by Meginator on August 22, 2022, 10:14am This book is gently uplifting, with a surprisingly relatable story about self-confidence delivered by the walking personification of the title’s pun. The book has plenty of puns for sharp-eyed readers, but the first-person narration ensures that its core message is properly encased in a relatable story that talks directly to the audience. Honestly, as an adult, I didn’t know how much I needed this book’s direct suggestion that readers don’t have to be good at everything all of the time, but instead should focus on finding the specific group of talents and interests that speak directly to them. The message is far from subtle, but the delivery has just enough humor and just enough of an actual plotline to make it more effective than it is cheesy. Despite the puns.

Smart Cookie submitted by Ghutton88 on July 18, 2023, 5:27pm I love the smart cookie book because it has an author and an illustrator and tells you how its good to be different and try lots of different things.
