Sequel to: House of earth and blood.
"Bryce Quinlan and Hunt Athalar are trying to get back to normal they may have saved Crescent City, but with so much upheaval in their lives lately, they mostly want a chance to relax. Slow down. Figure out what the future holds. The Asteri have kept their word so far, leaving Bryce and Hunt alone. But with the rebels chipping away at the Asteri's power, the threat the rulers pose is growing. As Bryce, Hunt, and their friends get pulled into the rebels' plans, the choice becomes clear: stay silent while others are oppressed, or fight for what's right. And they've never been very good at staying silent. In this sexy, action-packed sequel to the #1 bestseller House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J. Maas weaves a captivating story of a world about to explode and the people who will do anything to save it."--Dust jacket.

Literally WAY TOO LONG submitted by clk.9123 on August 22, 2022, 7:56pm Why does she do this? Why? After the first book which I found to be way too long and full of cringey tropes I was surprised in the beginning of this to find myself actually enjoying it. However, about 1/2 - 3/4 of the way through I started getting antsy because it seems like there are 2 if not 3 books within this 1 tome. As we’ve seen, shes’ capable of writing long series so I’m not sure why this needs to be as large as it is. It makes me nervous to know how long she intends these books to continue on for. I’m curious about how she will wrap it up, but there is WAY too much going on here.

Long, filler story submitted by ewraback on July 7, 2023, 7:42pm This book was very long and pretty boring to be honest. It was mainly the after effects of the first book. The ending began to become interesting when the villain and the secrets began being known, but it was cut short. I wish that was developed further. I also am not a fan of the VERY end *SPOILER* and continuing ACOTAR. It's becoming a Marvel-like anthology.
