Rough to read submitted by Bethybeth07 on June 20, 2022, 1:26pm I really REALLY wanted to love this. I had such high hopes. I even rented the audiobook version so I could hear it as told by Dave Grohl himself. That being said, it hurts to say it was terrible. So bad I almost didn’t finish it, which says a lot. I kept hoping it would get better but it was just a lot of rambling of pointless things and humble bragging. It actually made me like him less. Do yourself a favor and skip it.

So good! submitted by goreygirl on July 12, 2022, 12:54pm Watching Dave and the band get inducted in to the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame was so inspiring I had to read this. It's bittersweet now that his best friend and bandmate Taylor Hawkins has died, but a wonderful meditation on life and music. I listened to it and Dave reads it and it's just great.

Love Dave even more! submitted by kath on June 12, 2023, 5:26pm As a long time FooFighters and Nirvana listener, I really like Dave Grohl. After reading this book, I admire him and his lovely mom. His writing is honest and heartfelt. I would love to read a part two on how he is coping with the death of another dear friend.
