Very Funny! submitted by Meginator on July 9, 2023, 8:25pm This humorous picture book looks at an alligator who decides to open up an eponymous restaurant on his snout as a way of enticing some delicious birds, although in typical picture book fashion he ends up finding something else altogether. The illustrations add quite a bit of humor to the already hilarious text, with Bob the Alligator’s expressions being particularly funny, and take some cues from comics in the way that they incorporate sound effects and varied page layouts. This is a great picture book that is no less entertaining for being somewhat predictable for older readers.
