Captivating Indie Pop submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2022, 6:44pm This fantastic album features lo-fi indie pop that still has a hard edge to it, whether in the lyrics or in the delivery. The result is music that has an almost surreal quality to it while still being very grounded, complex and winding while still fitting comfortably into a pop mold. The songs are catchy but almost feel unintentionally so, crafted but not over-produced and still with the ring of honesty to them. The blend of synthesized and live instrumentation works perfectly to bring the vision to life, and this album shows a way forward for pop music in an age where the edges of genre are blurring and dissolving in new and exciting ways.
