Excellent sophomore novel submitted by chfairey on July 21, 2021, 8:54pm I wasn't a huge fan of Arnett's first book, but the Florida/lesbian/beer dad/losing grasp on life elements that felt disconnected in the first book really shine here. The perspective of this book is reinforced (humorously) by the individuals that Sammy impacts negatively who then turn around and change their lives. Really dark and funny take on motherhood, middle age, and distance from those who you love.
