"Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who's ever been chosen. That's what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he's probably right. Half the time, Simon can't even make his wand work, and the other half, he starts something on fire. His mentor's avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there's a magic-eating monster running around, wearing Simon's face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here -- it's their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon's infuriating nemesis didn't even bother to show up"-- Provided by publisher.

One of my absolute favorites submitted by berry.laura on January 15, 2022, 10:16am At its heart, the story is about learning to accept yourself for who you are, not who others expect you to be. It's also laugh-out-loud funny. I am not a teenager but I absolutely loved this story. Many parallels to Harry Potter here, but it seems to feel a little more real.

First in a Trilogy submitted by pamhockey25 on July 17, 2022, 11:51am Sets up the characters and world of Simon, Baz, and Penny. The characters are fun, the spells are great, and it's a fun read.

Carry On submitted by jhaberich on August 22, 2022, 12:21pm This book is the first book in a series that I really love. The characters are easy to become attached to and the plot is very suspenseful and full of twists. You'll find yourself wondering about the perspectives of each character and their decisions. Each chapter leaves you waiting for more detail.
