Fine Art for the People submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 11:15am This documentary is built around an interview with Keith Haring recorded late in his life, supplemented by interviews with Haring’s friends and family. The ability to hear Haring’s own perspective on his life and his work adds to the mystique around him, and though the film itself isn’t particularly critical of Haring that might be a function of his approach and his genuine desire to make fine art that is accessible to the masses. Almost everyone will recognize Haring’s signature style and this documentary is a great way to gain additional insight into his life and his legacy that isn’t always apparent from the ubiquity of his art.
