Mixed feelings but hard to put down submitted by Emily Jennings on July 20, 2023, 11:05pm I stayed up late reading this and then wondered why, lol. It’s definitely a page turner especially toward the end, but things also went in a direction that seemed incongruent with the rest of the book. Some predictability, and some of the characters spoke in such a stilted way that it must be intentional…but was it? 3.5 out of 5 stars for character development and story.
