"The year is 2025, and a mysterious virus has broken out in Scotland--a lethal illness that seems to affect only men. When Dr. Amanda MacLean reports this phenomenon, she is dismissed as hysterical. By the time her warning is heeded, it is too late. The virus becomes a global pandemic--and a political one. The victims are all men. The world becomes alien--a women's world. What follows is the immersive account of the women who have been left to deal with the virus's consequences"--Provided by publisher.

Boring submitted by Lady Macbeth on July 15, 2021, 10:56am Half the world dies and I've never felt more bored of a book. There are practically a dozen narrators and they almost all feel like the exact same person.
uncanny pre-covid glimpse of a post-pandemic world submitted by apknapp on August 14, 2022, 7:20pm In bite-sized essays from various rotating narrators, explores the outbreak, terror, and aftermath of a pandemic which wipes out 90% of the males on earth. Really interesting exploration of the impact on society, politics, relationships, even mundane details like the size of cell phones, lol.
