kind of a muddle submitted by camelsamba on July 9, 2021, 8:40pm I picked up this book because I follow the illustrator on Instagram, so I wanted to like it but I was somewhat disappointed with the story. Ultimately, it's about the rewards of persistence and the power of love - but details of the various oddities ran together in a muddle. And to be honest, most of the illustrations are not really in the highly detailed style of Rytter's work that I so admire, so that was disappointing as well.
