An Apt Title submitted by Meginator on July 22, 2021, 8:50pm I didn’t fit the description in the title when I listened to this album, but I have some experience in the department and I think the title is a good fit. These songs have a melancholic feel to them, steeped in heartbreak and the reality of the difficult periods that hit you in life. Yet the listening experience isn’t always a bummer, as the songs are nicely crafted and engaging, nested in the style of folky indie pop that suits them best. This album is low-key but that can be a good thing when you need it.
