"Almost Famous meets Daisy Jones and the Six in this funny, wise and tender novel about a fourteen-year-old girl's coming of age in 1970s Baltimore, caught between her straight-laced family and the progressive family she nannies for - who happen to be secretly hiding a famous rock star and his movie star wife for the summer"-- Provided by publisher.

Great submitted by manz on September 4, 2021, 1:54pm This book is wonderfully readable! The description is accurate, and that's exactly what you get. It's tender, witty, and funny, and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the summer with Mary Jane, the Cones, and Jimmy & Sheba. I don't read a lot of chick lit or beach reads, but this was fantastic and I'm so glad I read it. Plus, it's a fast read!

Flat submitted by russelan on June 20, 2022, 8:51pm I usually love coming-of-age stories, but this fell flat. I didn't particularly like any of the characters. The end felt too convenient.
