When four young orphans, Hikari, Ikuko, Ishi, and Takemura, first meet, their parents' bodies are being turned into dust. They are like zombies; devoid of all emotion. With no family, no future, no dreams, and no way to move forward, the young teens decide that the first level of this new existence involves salvaging a gaming console, an old electric bass, and a charred wok from their former homes, just enough to start a band, and then conquer the world.

Someone dropped a glow stick in the toilet and it looks like a save point submitted by answer-beat on April 1, 2023, 1:24pm Funny yet super poignant movie that views death and homelessness from the eyes of 13 year olds. This is genuinely creative and entertaining and emotional, a cult classic in the making. Also, it's totally geared towards people who are nerds about rock music and retro video games alike. Pixelated graphics and chiptunes are everywhere, and their band Little Zombies covers "This Will Be Our Year" by The Zombies.
