The Only Movie I Bailed on Within Five Minutes submitted by Meginator on July 11, 2021, 12:28pm I’m going to be completely honest here: I finish everything I start in any medium, but I turned this off after only a few minutes. I can tolerate a *lot* of badness of all kinds in a romcom, and I generally enjoy the trainwrecks as well. But this film’s introduction to one of its main characters, a blind woman played by a sighted actress, immediately turned me off because it seemed like the kind of portrayal that was going to play her disability solely for laughs. Maybe it’s actually fine, but I have better things to do with my time than sit through an agonizing hour and a half just to find out that it isn’t.
