When Chicken Little runs into the Big Bad Wolf (literally), her first instinct is to fly, like the other chickens, but she decides to investigate instead--and finds that this particular wolf is not interested in eating chickens, he is just looking for a place to call home.

Something's Missing in the Middle Here submitted by Meginator on August 21, 2021, 8:52am This fairy-tale remix has fantastic illustrations and a keen sense of humor, but the story feels a bit incomplete, as if it is missing a few intermediate steps that get Chicken Little and his compatriots from their initial point of view to their position at the end of the book. I really enjoyed the page design, which relies mostly on spoken dialogue with a few points of exposition sprinkled in here and there, and the visual elements are bold and bright, perfect for early readers. The narrative has a solid core to it, with a good moral message sitting in there somewhere, but the overall effect becomes a bit muddled without the proper plot points to link each moment together.
