Oona - A Mermaid Who Hunts Treasure submitted by Emily Atherton on June 14, 2022, 2:19pm Oona is a mermaid story great for ages 2-10, my 3-year-old loved it (she's read every mermaid book in the picture book section by now). The illustrations are fantastic and the mermaid is dark-skinned (hooray for representation!) She's a fearless treasure-hunter alongside her otter friend, but in order to retrieve the most sparkly piece of treasure yet, she has to make a plan and try, and try again, and then invent something to help her get to it. A great story about determination, trying again, thinking outside the box, and fanciful adventure.
