Don’t bother submitted by fernzo on May 31, 2022, 1:05am I checked this out because the NYT recommended it in its What to Watch email. Having now seen it, I am mystified. It’s neither scary, nor funny (billed as a horror comedy), and is spotty, at best. Robert Forster and Riki Lindhome are highlights, and you’re relieved when they’re on screen as you start to think it might be worth your time. It’s not - it’s an hour and 20 minutes long and you’re still checking the time. There’s one intentionally unsettling scene that does its job. In the bonus features, the director speaks with pride how the movie will augment werewolf movie lore. No, it won’t; it will just make you think twice the next time the NYT recommends a horror comedy. Keep it movin’, people. Nothing to see here.
