Wished It Was a Little More Connected submitted by Meginator on August 27, 2022, 9:35pm This book needs a few additional pieces of narrative connection to make its story come together properly, but its tale of a young boy who joins his parents at their overnight office cleaning job still has its charm. The story is straightforward, but it requires both the characters and readers to stretch their imaginations, picturing a typical office setting as the paper kingdom of the title; I wish the illustrations had done more to convey this duality, which would make the book easier to understand. The illustrations are done nicely, although they do have their limits, and the idea is solid, but the execution is a bit lackluster.
