You can't believe everything you hear! Did you know that a single word can have many different meanings? Sometimes two words that sound alike can be spelled completely differently! Ptolemy the Pterodactyl is back to show us all how absurd and fun language can be when homophones, homonyms, and tricky punctuation are at play.

Clever book for non-readers and readers. submitted by rweyler on August 5, 2021, 2:11pm Pre-readers can appreciate the confusion between “hare” and “hair”. Then when they become readers they have another hurdle. The adults can enjoy the illustrations. Fun for everyone. Recommended.

Fun for all ages submitted by nemiller on June 19, 2022, 2:14pm This book was so much fun! Teachers could read this book as a fun activity for a pretty wide range of ages - I could see upper elementary and middle school classes making a class project of making their own book of Sound-Alike Sentences after reading this book!
