An interesting “what if”
submitted by bahr on July 26, 2022, 7:04am
This book may be a bit hard to read, in a post-COVID world. This book focuses mostly on how humans would respond to a crisis (though not a disease in Spin’s case). Yes, some are trying to solve the problem but others ignore it, many claim it’s the end of everything, it makes leaders, and it crushes others. I thought that the premise was very interesting and a little terrifying.
I also thought that the resolution came about in a slightly unsatisfying way., but at least it was consistent with the rest of the book (and frankly similar to our own recent resolution to COVID). Definitely worth reading if you like Blake Crouch or Tom Sweterlisch.
